Two people shaking hands

Partner companies are a common trend in today’s world of business. A business partnership is a legal relationship between two or more companies and a signed written agreement often forms it.

But what happens when the partners of a particular company are bad? That makes the organization untrustworthy.

If you sign up to be a customer of an organization, you may not realize that you are also signing up to be customers of their partners as well.

If you are a potential or current customer of ours here at Coeo, it may be a good idea to educate yourself on who partners with Coeo and what that partnership looks like.

Here at Coeo, we pride ourselves on providing our customers with top-quality service every year, and in order to do that our partners have to also be top-quality.

In this article, we will look at the two types of partnerships Coeo has and the companies that partner with us.

Two types of partners we work with

There are quite a few organizations that Coeo partners with that sell our products and also partners whose products we sell. Coeo’s partners can be grouped into two different categories:

  • Vendors who supply software and hardware for our network infrastructure.
  • Agents who connect our products to customers.

1. Vendors

Vendor partners are companies that put out our infrastructure. In our network infrastructure, we have vendor partners that put together our network and support and maintain it.

Our vendor partners have maintenance contracts with us here at Coeo that maintains our network. This allows us to have an SLA or service level agreement that remains high.

An SLA is essentially a documented understanding between an organization providing the service and the organization receiving the benefits of the service.

This ensures that customers remain fully informed on the products and services that are provided by the service provider.

Our vendor partners have a high SLA, meaning that our customers at Coeo have high expectations of what our services bring to them.

Who are Coeo’s vendors?

Coeo has a few organizations that partner with Coeo as vendors. These vendors are organizations that help with the network infrastructure and help to maintain our databases in Chicago, Illinois, and Denver, Colorado.

There are four vendors that Coeo partners with to maintain this network infrastructure. These vendors include:

  • Juniper Networks

Juniper Networks is an American multinational corporation that develops and markets networking products such as routers and network management software.

Juniper is our hardware infrastructure and routing infrastructure for the data network. We connect to the internet and directly to our customers over this data network.

  • Ribbon Communications

They're an equipment vendor so they create software and hardware-based solutions for communications platforms. Ribbon is our go-to partner for infrastructure and our voice network.

Our VoIP or voice-over Internet Protocol network is built on Ribbon technology. Ribbon provides industry-leading products such as IP Systems and SBCs.

  • Versa Networks

Versa has one of the highest-rated SD-WAN products and is best known for network security and cloud connectivity. Versa is a network organization and also one of the leading SASE vendors.

Versa is a vendor partner with Coeo and is the platform that we use for our SD-WAN product. Versa Networks is one of the leading SD-WAN platform providers according to the Gartner magic quadrant

  • Metaswitch Networks

Metaswitch Networks was a privately-owned UK-based company acquired by Microsoft in the middle of 2020. Metaswitch provides UCaaS platforms to organizations.

Metaswitch supplies our UCaaS software program and communication services. Metaswitch is a pioneer in the industry and has always been a leader in the communications services space.

Outside of vendors supplying equipment to us not only in our own data but also out to customers. These same companies that we use for our own infrastructure we also use when deploying software and hardware to our customers.

Ribbon Communications also has a partnership program where their marketing team works with us to do joint marketing.

This joint marketing generates sales leads helping promote Coeo and creating revenue for Ribbon. Ribbon generates and sends these leads and opportunities to us to sell their products and services to our customers.

2. Agents

Agents are independent sales contractors. Agents have a contract with us at Coeo who sell our services and products and receive a commission on sales.

Agents are 1099 contractors who do not get a consistent paycheck. However, if they sell our products, they receive a commission on what they sell.

Agents are typically people who have either been in the telecommunications industry for a long time or vendors that sell equipment. This equipment could be phone services or networking equipment.

These agents typically have preexisting relationships with customers that they have had for quite some time.

Agents look to find the right fit of technology partners in telecommunications for those customers and if they happen to sell to those customers, they get a monthly commission.

Since these agents have been in the industry for such a long time, they have lots of experience on what to look for in customers and technology partners.

Who are agents of Coeo?

There are quite a few agents that sell Coeo products currently. The number of agents selling for us since the beginning of Coeo has grown to a few hundred.

There are a few top agents which are called master agents. Master agents handle all types of commission questions, deal with carriers, and hold contracts with the carriers.

These master agents include:

  • TBI

  • Intellisys Technology

  • Sandler Partners

The rest of the agents are sub-agents and are mostly independent and go through the master agents. The master agents get commission and from there take a percentage and give the rest to the sub-agents.
